In Memory of

Theresa Lynn Wilson

November 14, 1962 - October 30, 2022
From: Cleghorn, IA

On October 30, Theresa Barr Wilson went to be with the Lord.  Originally from Hawarden, IA she spent the last 23 years in Cleghorn, IA.  She was known as Tee by her friends and acquaintances.  She loved people and helped everyone she knew and many that she did not know. She offered a place to stay or a ride to a safe place.  She enjoyed gardening, canning and fishing.

Her life choices led her to use of drugs and alcohol.  She kicked all habits at the end, but not before she developed cirrhosis of the liver that took her life.  She wanted to be a public speaker in front of school assembly’s to warn people about how the disease ruined her health and also relationships within her extensive family.  She did not get that chance.

She is survived by her parents, Robert Barr of Chatsworth and Joann Barr of Hudson, SD, siblings Robert Scott Barr of Sioux Falls, SD and Annette Martens of Garretson, SD.  She had two sons, Mark and Chris.

She also survived by half sisters and brothers by her father that live in the area. Robert (Bobby) Baker Chatsworth, IA, Tim Lawrence of Beresford, SD, Lindsey Gorack, Hawarden, IA, and Ashley Barr Chatsworth, IA

“Aunty T, I helped Gramma T carry your crib home from the store to your home on a windy Hawarden day. So much history we’d discussed. You are missed, All your amends, apologies and Thank you’s are received and returned. You are clean, clear and in God’s presence now. You would have laughed at the God call I got today. I’ll always appreciate you. Love Uncle Vinny”

“Theresa will be missed by many of us. I knew Her through thick and thin. She had her UPS and Downs but when she was good she was the best. I will not forget her laughter and how I got her hooked on putting up hummingbird feeders and enjoying them. She loved their beauty. RIP girl.”
