Timothy Albert Reusch, 58, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, July 13,2017 at the Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN of a rare lung rejection.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Lori (Gross) Reusch; his mother, Margaret (Boch) Reusch; his son, Nathan Reusch and his companion, Kim Grzeslo and her children, Cameron Schueder, Bryce Grzeslo, and Michael Grzeslo; his daughter, April (Reusch) Lillefloren and her husband; Casey Lillefloren; his son, David Reusch; the one accepted as a son, James Cox; grandchildren, Nathanael Reusch, Carson Reusch, Alexzander Lillefloren, Jonathan Reusch; his siblings; and many more family members and close friends.
Born in LeMars, the son of Albert and Margaret (Boch) Reusch, he was a lifelong resident of Meriden. Between 1996 and 1997 Tim worked around the clock building the families new home while continuing his lifelong occupation of driving truck. He drove for Hy-vee 28years, almost reaching 2 million miles when he was diagnosed with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and retired shortly after being diagnosed.
One of Tim's passions was having family time and sharing what he loved with all around him. In 1989 his family became members of Hart Ranch in Rapid City, SD. He said he wanted this to be a place to call home away from home and to share with his kids who could then share the experience with their families. It has become an annual ritual for the whole family to enjoy time there together, sometimes including friends in the trips.
Tim was a lifelong fisherman with endless fishing trips with friends and family. Younger years he kept a fishing pole in his trunk for those 'just in case I drive past some water on the way' moments. He said fishing allowed him to let go of everything around him and be at peace. In the latter year he was able to go out quite frequently with this sister Peggy Jackson and grinned from ear to ear with excitement.
Another passion of Tim's was tinkering and fixing everything he could get his hands on. Between 1999-2000 he wanted to recreate his suburban into a dually suburban. This was accomplished with his brother Randy Reusch, sons, and his nephews.
Tim was meticulous with anything he put his mind to and worked hard to accomplish everything he dreamed of in life.
If he were here right now he would tell you to live each day as if it were your last. Tell those around you that you love them and embrace the moments with them.
