Robert 'Bob' J. Dolph, the son of Russell and Bernice (Yatker) Dolph, was born on March 13, 1938, in Red Oak, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Red Oak where he attended school and graduated from Red Oak High School in 1955. Upon graduation he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served from June 1955 to September 1960.
On September 20, 1958, Bob was united in marriage to Mary Albright at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Oak, and was stationed at Camp Mathews in San Diego, CA. Following his discharge from the Marine Corps, Bob and Mary moved back to Red Oak where he was employed at the Union Carbide Eveready Battery Plant and the Iowa Department of Transportation. In April of 1973, he transferred to Cherokee with the Iowa DOT where he was an inspector. He retired in 1996. He then worked at his antique and collectible store, the B & M Old Creamery.
Bob was a wonderful father, grandfather, husband and brother. His family and friends were very important to him and he loved them dearly.
On July 22, 2013, Bob passed away at a Sioux City Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 75. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell (Ruth) Dolph; mother, Bernice (Kenneth) Bacon; grandparents, Paul and Bertha Yatker and Irvin and Lola Fort; an infant daughter, Cynthia Ann; and mother-in-law, Monda Albright.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Dolph of Cherokee, IA; two sons, Steve Dolph of Le Mars, IA, and Alan (Jodee) Dolph of Cherokee, IA; two daughters, Holly Dolph of Cherokee, IA, and Polly (Shane) Wilson of Pacific, MO; 12 grandchildren: Morgan and Kyle Dolph, Kayla, Alexis, Cyndi, and Logan Wibe, Alan, Cameron, Torey, and Tyler Wilson, and Christopher and Cassy Joines; two great-granddaughters, Bailey Wibe Rodriguez and Regan Frederick; brothers, Paul (Aura) Dolph of Upland, CA, Dan (Kathy) Pearce of Bellevue, NE, and John (Anita) Dolph of Reynosa, Mexico; and sisters Carol Ann Schneider and Mary Louise Kirby of Bellevue, NE; in-laws, Harry and Merlene Albright and Vern and Charlene Albright; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday, with the family present from 5-7 P.M. Wednesday night at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. There will be a 7 P.M. prayer service Wednesday at the funeral home.
