Polly Que Jansen

 Polly passed peacefully from this life in the early morning of August 17, 2024 after a steady decline in health. She was surrounded by her loving family and amazing caretakers during the last days of her life at Heartland Care Center in Marcus, IA.

 Polly was born August 3, 1959 in Storm Lake, IA to Homer and Hazel Putmam. She was a 1977 graduate of Washington High School in Cherokee, IA. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Michael J Jansen on August 19, 1977.

 Polly's favorite things were spending time with her family and friends, traveling, camping, scrapbooking and crafts.

 Polly shared 4 living children with her husband Mike. Jeremy (Natasha) Jansen, of Wayne, NE; Jelynda (Darren) Morse, of Marcus, IA; Justin (Jennifer) Jansen, of Marcus, IA and Angel Jansen, of Bowling Green, KY. She was immensely proud of all her grandkids: Tristan Jansen, Haley Harrell, Alexandra (Christopher) Lewis, Gracie Jansen, Katelyn (Sean Anderson) Johnson, Ekko (Ethan) Burns, Savannah (Luke Klassen) Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Graedyn Morse and Clayton Jansen and great grandchildren Blaine and Brynlee Anderson, Blair Gieselman, Eva, Ezra, and Eniya Burns.

 Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings Roger(Vikki) Putnam, of Everly, IA; Jim (Marji Baldwin) Putnam, of Larabee, IA; John (Joyce) Putnam, of Sutherland, IA and Peggy Putnam, of Washta, IA. Polly has a large extended family with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Polly is now rejoicing in heaven with the love of her life Mike, their beloved son Jared, her parents, her parents in law, sister Trudie Nord, sister in laws Anita Jansen and Sandy Putnam, brother in law Steven Jansen, nephews Tom and Allen Baldwin, and Tim Meyers, niece Jodi Munn and her best friend of many decades Gwen Mann.

 A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at First Church of Christ in Cherokee, IA with a luncheon/celebration at the Moose Lodge in Storm Lake, IA to follow.

 The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have supported them during this difficult time of loss.
