Paul E. McDaniel

 Paul Ernest McDaniel, the son of Richard and Phyllis (Rohrbaugh) McDaniel was born March 9,1962 in Cherokee, Iowa.
His childhood years were spent in Peterson and Sutherland where he received his education. Paul married Colleen Newcomb on October 11, 1986 and to this union 3 children were born; Jacklynn Louise, Megan Marie and Jordan Jaye. Amongst these years, with much delight, Paul learned of his son, Shane Laursen, to whom he created a strong bond. Paul lived an all-embracing life with many hobbies. To mention a few, driving cars at the Figure 8 races with his father and brothers in Primghar. Bull riding for Barnes' Rodeo, artifact and rock hunting, singing/playing guitar, and kayaking. Snowmobiling with his family was a tradition he cherished each winter but Paul felt most alive when he was riding his 98' Road King Fhlpi where he put hours of time customizing it allowing his special style shine through.

On May 24, 2021 in Cherokee Iowa, Paul went home to the Lord surrounded by those who cared for him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother and father, and infant daughter Jacklynn.

 Left to cherish his memory and keep his stories alive is his partner Kellie Carney and his siblings, Jim and (Shirley) McDaniel, Lynn and (Gerald) Peterson, Jeannie and (Joel) Weber, Ritchie and family. His children; Shane Laursen of Cherokee, Iowa,  Megan (Jason) Dick, Las Vegas, NV and Jordan (Brandon) Workman, Greenville, Iowa and his 6 beautiful granddaughters, Constance, Aubrey, Vivienne, Victoria, Violet, and Meredith-Emilie; in addition his nieces, nephews and cousins, his four legged friends; Gema and Bella, along with his large eclectic group of friends.
