Patty Lee Williams

Patty Lee Williams, the daughter of Donald “Chuck” and Phyllis (Bowden) Williams, was born January 5, 1964, in Blair, NE. Her childhood years were spent in Sioux City, IA, where she attended school and graduated from North High School, in 1982. Following school, she worked various jobs.

She met her significant other, Randy Ruba, in 2011. They lived in Cherokee for fora few years, before moving to Galva, IA in 2014. Patty was a dedicated worker for Sparky’s One Stop gas station. She at one time or another worked at every location in the company.

Patty was a diehard Nebraska Cornhusker fan. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. She also loved to fish, was an avid collector of unicorns, enjoyed playing Bingo, and going to the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Patty passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Cherokee Specialty Care in Cherokee at the age of 59. She was preceded by one brother, Andy Williams; and one son, Ralph Ferdig, Jr.

She will lovingly be remembered by her significant other, Randy Ruba of Galva, IA; daughters, Marie Boblit of Sioux City, IA, Crystal Williams of Ponca, NE, and Tina Boyer of Olwein, IA; son, Timothy Beckstram of Spencer, IA; her parents, Chuck and Phyllis Williams; brother, Robert Williams; brother-in-law, Christopher Haack; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
