Norma Marie Olhausen, the daughter of Oscar and Astrid (Roseen) Klingborg, was born March 24, 1933, in Cleghorn, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Quimby where she attended and graduated from Quimby High School.
Following her schooling, she worked at the telephone company for a short time. Norma was united in marriage to Keith Olhausen on May 27, 1951. Following their marriage they resided in Cherokee, IA, where Norma stayed at home raising their children. In 1965, they moved to Storm Lake, IA and remained there until moving back to Cherokee, in 1965, when they started Olhausen Mobile Manor.
Norma was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed playing cards, especially, Bridge. She also enjoyed going for walks, spending time having coffee with friends, and being a member of the Garden Club. Most of all, Norma loved spending time with family and friends.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, Norma passed away at Accura Healthcare in Cherokee at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Astrid Klingborg; her husband, Keith Olhausen; children, Mike Olhausen, and Natasha Olhausen; brother, Jack and (Roberta) Klingborg; and sister, Louise Voss.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Michelle (Brian) Henley of Aurelia, IA; daughter-in-law, Molly Olhausen of Cherokee, IA; three grandchildren, Nick (Mary) Olhausen of Sioux City, IA, Natalie Olhausen of Cherokee, IA, and Shawn Henley of Vermilion, SD; two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Emily Olhausen of Sioux City, IA; one sister, Betty Woltman of Cherokee, IA; brother-in-law, Lyle Olhausen of Spirit Lake, IA; sister-in-law, Ardine Olhausen of Sutherland, IA; and other relatives and friends.
