Neal Edward Pearson, the son of John and Marlene (Menefee) Pearson, was born at Alta, Iowa, on July 26, 1968. His childhood years were spent near Aurelia, Iowa. He graduated from Aurelia High School in 1987 and Western Iowa Tech in 1989. He began farming at an early age.
Neal married Kathleen Immele on August 2, 1992, and they were blessed with two sons, Nathan and Kale. The couple set up farming near Aurelia, where Neal was a dedicated, hard-working farmer. He loved watching football and target shooting with his boys. He never wanted to miss one of their sporting events. He enjoyed skiing, going to the Black Hills, camping and hiking in the mountains. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Neal passed away on October 9, 2014, at the age of 46. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Nellie Pearson and McKinley and Catherine Menefee.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen and their sons, Nathan and Kale of Aurelia; his parents, John and Marlene Pearson of Aurelia; siblings, Diane (Denny) Mann, Karl (Rita) Pearson, all of Aurelia, and Lorri (Greg) Gill of Meriden, IA; three brothers-in-law, Joe (Darla) Immele of Cherokee, Bruce (Barbara) Immele of Louisville, CO, and Michael Immele of Alliance, NE; one sister-in-law, Anne (Ed) Vakulskas of Maplewood, MN; several nieces and nephews; many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be Monday, October 13, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

VISITATION
Visitation will be Sunday, October 12, 2014, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home. There will be a Rosary at 4:30 p.m., and a prayer service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m.
