Natasha 'NaNa' Olhausen

December 31, 1977 — November 20, 2014

Natasha 'Na Na' Olhausen, the daughter of Keith and Norma (Klingborg) Olhausen, made her entrance into this world on December 31, 1977. She grew up in Cherokee, Iowa. During her years at Washington High School, Na Na's peers named her Prom Queen and Homecoming Parade Marshall. She graduated with the class of 1997, and was forever the Cherokee Braves #1 fan. She was the single recipient of a free lifetime membership to attend any and all Cherokee School Events. She did her best to put that membership to good use. She worked at Hy Vee for six years, and spent ten years helping with children at Bright Beginnings Day Care. Na Na possessed an eternally optimistic attitude. Her love of life was evident in her cheerful disposition. She greeted everyone with an infectious smile, and if you met her once, you were considered to be her friend. She was very good at remembering names. She loved being involved in community activities. She was once named the Parade Marshall for the Barnes Rodeo parade. She was incredibly lucky at winning prizes on the radio, or having her name drawn in local contests. Every holiday was her 'favorite' holiday. Na Na was blessed with a giving heart, and was always willing to help out in any way she could. Her greatest gift was that of tissue, skin and bone donation following her death on Thursday, November, 20, 2014. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Everett and Mona Olhausen and Oscar and Evelyn Klingborg. Survivors include her parents, Keith and Norma Olhausen, her brother Mike (Molly) Olhausen, all of Cherokee, her sister Michelle (Brian) Henley of Aurelia, IA; her nieces and nephews: Nick (Mary) Olhausen of Dakota Dunes, SD, Natalie Olhausen of Cherokee, and Shawn Henley of Aurelia, IA; her great-neices, Lauren and Emily Olhausen; several aunts, uncles and cousins; many, many friends. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Natasha's name to be used in several local projects.
