Michael Glouser

Michael Glouser, the son of James C. Sr. and Mildred Zelda (Buddin) Glouser was born December 15, 1948, in Carroll, IA. His childhood years were spent in Cherokee, IA, where he attended school and graduated from Washington High School in 1968. Michael then attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, IA where he earned a certificate in welding. On April 11, 1977, Michael was united in marriage to Kathy Buss at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee. They were blessed with two children, Jeremy and Billy. Michael had worked for Lundell Manufacturing, Sleezer Roofing, and Obeco. Michael was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting. His passion was fishing, especially his trips to Devil's Lake with his son Jeremy. He also enjoyed western and war movies, and working on cars and trucks with his son Billy. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On June 9, 2014, Michael passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Mildred Glouser; one brother, James Glouser, Jr.; one sister, Susan B. Glouser; and father-in-law, Lloyd Buss. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathy Glouser of Cherokee, IA; two sons; Jeremy Glouser of Cherokee, IA and special friend, Nikki Nissen of Lincoln, NE, and Billy Glouser of Cherokee, IA; his siblings, Linda (Leo) Joy of Hollywood, CA, Kathy (David) Domsch of Cherokee, IA, Jill Batz of Virginia, Jeff Glouser of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Eric (Beverly) Glouser of Boise, Idaho; mother-in-law, Georgine Buss of Paullina, IA; brother-in-law, Bill Buss of Paullina, IA and special friend Deb Jorgensen of Cherokee, IA; sister-in-law, Denise (Tom) Coombs of Linn Creek, MO, and Susan K. Glouser of Cherokee; he is also survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
