   Memorial services for Mary L. Dolph, 82 of Cherokee will be Friday, December 29, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. Father Dan Rupp will officiate.  Visitation will begin at 1:00PM till service time at the Funeral Home.  Inurnment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee.  The Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

      Mary Leota Albright was born on April 15, 1941 in Red Oak, Iowa to Melvin Leslie and Monda Bonita (Fort) Albright.  She attended school in Red Oak and graduated High School in 1958.  On September 20, 1958 Mary married Robert J. Dolph at the Catholic Church in Red Oak.  In 1973 the couple moved to Cherokee where Mary worked as a CNA at the Cherokee Villa for many years.

          Mary enjoyed sewing, gardening, and watching her children and later her grandchildren participate in sporting events, and loved going to auctions.  The couple enjoyed traveling after retirement. They owned and operated the B&M Old Creamery in Cherokee from 1993 to present where Mary loved to visit with the customer’s.   Her greatest joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mary was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she enjoyed helping serve funeral lunches for many years.

          Mary died on Monday, December 25, 2023 at the Accura Healthcare in Cherokee where she had been a resident since December 22, 2023.

          Preceding Mary in death were her parents, husband Robert, infant daughter Cynthia Dolph, son Steven Dolph.  Infant sister Norma Jean Albright, three brothers Harry, Irv and Vern Albright.  Brother-in-law John Dolph, two sisters-in-law Carol Ann Burch and Mary Louise Kirby

          Survivors are her son Alan and his wife Jodee Dolph of Cherokee, two daughters Holly Dolph of Cherokee and Polly Wilson of Pacific, MO.  Eleven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Two sisters-in-laws: Merlene Albright of Cherokee and Charlene Albright of Bella Vista, AR. Two brothers-in-laws and their wives: Donnie and Kathy Pierce of Bellevue, NE and Paul and Aura Dolph of Upland, CA other relatives and many very dear friends.
