Margy Margaret Bolinger, the daughter of Paul and Emma (Wipf) Wollman was born October 14, 1958, in Yankton, SD. As a child she lived in Hinton, Cleghorn, and Larrabee, IA, before moving to Cherokee, IA in 1963. It is here that she attended school and graduated from Washington High School.
Margy was united in marriage to John Herbert Bolinger. They were blessed with one son, Jason. Margy was a stay home mom in her early years. She worked various jobs over the years Cary’s, Scotty’s, Kum & Go during the Wilson strike, She started work at Wilson Foods in around 1982, and was there until 2014 when the plant closed. Worked a short time at Pizza Ranch in Marcus and a short time at the Pub till she could no longer work due to eye’s failing.
Margy loved motorcycles and was very proud to be a member of ABATE. She was a very caring person and donated countless hours helping raise money for charities such and Relay for Life. Aside from her charity work, she enjoyed helping people anyway she could. She liked cooking traveling with her grandchildren, and most of all spending time with her family.
On August 28, 2021, Margy passed away in Cherokee, IA, following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Emma Wollman; and one sister, Barbara Miller.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Jason (wife)Bolinger of Cherokee, IA; siblings, Paul Wollman, Jr. of Merril, IA, Darlen Morris of Paullina, IA, and Kathy Peterson of Cherokee, IA; three grandchildren, Gavin, Isaiah, and Eliyanah; she is also survived by other relatives and friends.
