Margaret Louise Clark was born May 6, 1921 to F. Edward and B. Margaret (Armstrong) Clark near Knierim, Iowa. She was graduated from Rinard High School in 1938 and received her B.A. Degree from the University of Iowa in 1943. She taught English in the Marcus High School and worked in the editorial department of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota before her marriage to Melvin Dorr on June 20, 1945.
While raising their family of seven sons and two daughters, Mrs. Dorr was active in the community, as well. A member of Peace Lutheran Church, she taught their ecumenical special education Sunday School Class for some years. She was a 56-year member of the Marcus Womans Club, served on the Library Board and the 1971 Marcus Centennial Committee. At the time of the 1996 Quasquicentennial Celebration she contributed many pages to the Marcus History Book.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Ann Dorr, and seven sons, Tom (Ann), Fred (Linda), Jon (Gail), Karl (Amy), Paul (Debra), Philip and Kurt (Lisa) Dorr along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5290 C Ave.,rural Marcus, IA.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Marcus, IA. There will be a 7:00 P.M. Prayer service Saturday night at the funeral home.
