Margaret Ann (Cosgrove) was born on July 6, 1925, in Cherokee, Iowa, to the late Peter L. and Agnes (Collins) Cosgrove.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception School in 1942 as valedictorian. After attending Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa, she taught one year of English at the high school in Meriden, Iowa. Margaret then attended Creighton Law School in Lincoln, NE.
She later received a bachelor of education degree from Buena Vista College and a master's in business degree from Drake University.
Margaret was married in 1946 to the lake Gus W. Ohlson. She taught first grade and high school business classes in Aurelia, Iowa, and business classes for the Iowa Lakes Community College in Storm Lake, having touched and influenced many lives through her many years of teaching.
Marg was a loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She was an active member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake and volunteered regularly. She loved to travel, play cards, dance, read, and living on the lake.
Her family was the focal point of her life.
Margaret is survived by her brother, Peter of Cherokee; four children, Ann (Martin) of San Antonio, Candace Kluesner (James) of Harrisonburg, VA, Matthew (Kathleen) of Austin, TX, and Mark (Zo) of Aurelia, IA; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean McCullough.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Aurelia Golf Course in Aurelia, IA.
