On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Loni Duane Loucks passed away, at the early age of 65, in their rural Cherokee, Iowa, home with his loving, care-taking wife, Rosanne, by his side.
Loni was born on January 30, 1957 to Janice(Grapenthin) Cline and Ronald Loucks both of Cherokee, Iowa. Loni attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School through 8th grade. He then attended and graduated in 1975 from Washington High School in Cherokee . As soon as Loni could drive, he spent numerous hours driving the semi-truck for his grandfather and knew that was the only profession for him.
On September 3rd, 1977 he married Rosanne Stoll in Primghar, IA . They recently celebrated their 45 wedding anniversary.
Together, they purchased Loucks Trucking. They owned and operated the business for 40 years. Loni was very proud of continuing a family owned business that had begun in 1926 and had always hoped to reach the hundred year mark for the company. Unfortunately, Loni had to retire early due to illness.
He is preceded in death by one brother-in-law Michael Stoll, and father in-law Joseph Stoll both of Primghar, IA.
Loni will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rosanne, his daughter Crystal Ruschmann, and her husband Brandon of rural Cleghorn,IA, a son Ron Loucks, and his fiancé Sarah Frohling of Cherokee, IA, his three grandsons, Connor,Thomas, and Max Ruschmann, his granddaughter, Lena Loucks, and his bonus granddaughters Anna and Harper Frohling. He will be remembered by his parents, Ronald Loucks and Janice Cline, his mother-in law, Shirley Stoll of rural Primghar, IA, as well as his eleven siblings and their spouses, his five sister-in-laws and their husbands, one brother- in -law and his wife, as well as many nieces and nephews.
