LeRoy William Miller, 73, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Friday evening, February 14, 2020 at Accura Care Center in Aurelia, Iowa surrounded by his loving family.
LeRoy was born on March 26, 1946 in Ida Grove, Iowa. He was one of 8 children born to Royal and Betty (Nellist) Miller. He graduated from high school in 1964 in Toledo, Iowa. He served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. On April 18, 1970 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Brenda (Sargent) Miller. With this union they were blessed with 2 daughters, Dawn and Tera.
LeRoy had numerous jobs that included the block factory, Rubles Amoco, Brown’s Chevrolet, and drove truck. He enjoyed spending time doing yard work, watching old western movies, crossword puzzles, his dogs-Ebony and Cooper, spending time with his family, and eating all the good food his wife made. He always said that no body else’s food compared to moms especially her potato salad.
He was preceded in death by his parents Royal and Betty Miller; two sisters: Mavis Weisenborn and Joann Newman; one brother: Jesse Miller; and his faithful pet Ebony.
He is survived by his wife Brenda of Cherokee, Iowa; his two children: Dawn (Mark) Loucks of LeMars, Iowa; Tera (JJ) Sorensen of Hephzibah, Georgia; four grandchildren: Andrew, Kaitlyn, Meghan, and Aren; one great granddaughter Sophia; two sisters: Becky Peters and MaryAnn Foster and two brothers: Rolla Miller and Roger Miller; also multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
