Laura Lee Katherine (Krogman) Voge, was born April 18, 1938, in Ashton, Iowa, to Leo and Celestine (Herrig) Krogman. She attended St. Joseph School in Ashton, graduating in 1956. She then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa. During her early years of teaching, she taught Home-Ec in Kingsley-Pierson and Galva, Iowa. She then taught at Wilson Middle School and I.C. Catholic School in Cherokee. She also worked for JTPA (Job Training Partnership Act).
Laura was united in marriage to Gerald Voge on June 19, 1965. They were blessed with two children, Clark and Chris. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. True to her chosen profession of a Home Economics teacher, Laura loved to spend time cooking, baking and sewing. She enjoyed dancing, and found particular joy in attending her grandsons' sporting events.
On Tuesday, October 4, 2016, Laura passed away at Careage Hills Nursing Home in Cherokee, at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers-in-law, Dennis and William Voge; nephews Daniel and Phillip Voge; niece Patricia Voge; her aunts Florence, Imelda and Annabelle; and her uncle Pat;
Survivors include her husband, Gerald; two sons, Clark (Dawn) Voge of Cherokee and Chris Voge of Elkhorn, NE; two grandsons, Dawson and Connor Voge; step-grandchildren, Ashley, Adam, Melanie and Amber Gehrts; her sister-in-law Karen (Carroll) Perkins of Jefferson, IA; brothers-in-law Pat (Anne) Voge of Iowa Falls, IA, Paul (Lois) Voge of Galva, IA and Allen (Jyl) Voge of Lincoln, NE; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday night at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. There will be a 4:00 p.m. rosary conducted by the Catholic Daughters and a 7:00 p.m. prayer service Thursday following the visitation.
