Kenneth Joseph Arndt

July 4, 1941 — November 13, 2021

Ken was born on July 4, 1941, in Sac City, IA to Mary Baker and Franz Arndt. He grew up in Sac City, and lived with his grandparents George and Mable Graf. Ken married his wife of 60 years, Barb, and moved to Cherokee where he worked for Wison Foods as a QA meat inspector for over forty years. After retiring, he worked part time for Cherokee Schools for eight years and then retired fully.

Ken loved going fishing in Canada with his wife, sons, brothers, grandkids, and friends. He made many trips and caught many walleye over the fifty-five plus years of going. He also loved spending time with his grandkids. His eyes would light up when they were around. He will be missed by his family and friends, but will be remembered for his colorful phrases and jokes.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Baker and Franz Arndt and an infant brother. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barb Arndt of Sioux City, IA; two sons, Brad and Pam Arndt of Sioux City, IA, and Jeff and Darci Arndt of Savage, MT; grandchildren, Matt, Kat, and Ashlee; great-grandchildren, Emma, Jordyn, Isaiah, Brandon, and Ryker.
