Kenneth A. Morgan

June 9, 1950 — February 25, 2019

Kenneth A. Morgan, son of the late Cecil and Marion Morgan was born June 9, 1950 and passed away February 25, 2019. Ken’s early years were spent on the farm near Webb, Iowa where he was involved with many shenanigans with his two older brothers. The family then moved to the farm near Rembrandt, Iowa in 1963. He graduated from Alta High School with the class of 1969.

Ken worked for two gas stations in Alta and Storm Lake during and after high school. Then starting in 1970, he started his 42-year career at Wilsons/Tyson Plant in Cherokee. It was this same year that he purchased his 1970 Boss 302 Mustang and the car adventures began. Oh the fun times he had with that car!

Ken married Rita Thomas on March 18, 1989. They were deeply in love and shared many happy years together. Their home was always bustling with dogs and cats (which were treated to daily feasts!) Ken and Rita were always supportive of youth and any fundraising effort that came to their door. If anyone needed help, they were there to give it.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Charles of Mondovi, WI, and Rod (Laura) of Rembrandt, IA, sisters Judy of Boone, IA, and Kathy of Cody, WY; nephews Brad (Shawna), Josh, Jerry (Jenifer); nieces Mary (Chris) and Amy; Aunt Lowene, Aunt Carol, and Uncle Don and Aunt Virginia; great-nephews Brady, Hunter, Owen and Lincoln; great-nieces Emma and Clare; many cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita; parents Cecil and Marion, brother James and niece Kristi.

Ken will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness and generosity to others will live in our hearts forever.

SERVICES

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee.

Visitation will be held 9:00-10:30 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
