Jeffrey Lee "Hoot" Glouser, the son of James and Mildred (Buddin) Glouser was born September 28, 1955 in Cherokee, IA. His childhood years were spent in Cherokee where he attended school and graduated from Washington High School. He then attended Miami Dade College where he majored in political science.
Jeff worked for Quad States for 20 years, and Schoon Construction for two years. He then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and managed the homeless shelters for the city until his retirement in 2014. Jeff enjoyed the mountain in Salt Lake City and shooting guns at the rifle range.
On December 16, 2015, Jeff passed away at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center at the age of 60. He was preceded in death by his parents; James Clayton Glouser, Sr. in 1996 and Mildred Glouser in 1987; two brothers, James Clayton Glouser, Jr. in 1977 and Michael Glouser in 2014; and one sister Susan Glouser in 2007.
He is survived by his five children: Orlando (Miranda ) Frazier of Niobrara, NE, Waylan (Robyn) Frazier of Winnebago, NE, Jeffrey Frazier of Sioux City, IA, Leslie Frazier of Minneapolis, MN, and Jahne Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT; siblings and their family: Linda (Leo) Glouser Joy and their daughter Erin, Kathy (David) Domsch of Cherokee, IA and their children Dustin, Kelly, and Spenser; Jill Batz and partner Eunice Hawden and special friend Amy Jo Rovelstad of Virginia; and Eric (Beverly) Glouser of Boise, ID and their daughter Sophia; one sister-in-law, Katie Glouser and her children, Jeremy and Billy Glouser; he is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee.
