Jacqueline Mary Joines

Jacqueline “Jackie” Mary Joines, the daughter of Joseph and Eileen (Schilmoeller) Schueder was born January 30, 1962, in Le Mars, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Cherokee, IA, where she attended school and graduated from Washington High School in 1980. She then briefly attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, IA.

 In 1982, she was united in marriage to Mike Joines. They were blessed with two children, Adam and Abby. Jackie worked at Bomgaars and then K Products for many years. She later worked and was the owner of the Gasthaus Bar and Grill in Cherokee from early 2000 until 2008.

 Jackie enjoyed the outdoors. Her favorite activities included camping, boating, tending to her flowers, and going for motorcycle rides. She loved animals, especially all her cats and living in the country. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

 On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Jackie passed away at her home in rural Cherokee at the age of 60. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eileen Schueder.

 She will lovingly be remembered by her two children, Adam Joines of Sioux Falls, SD, and his children, Cameron and Landon; and Abby (Nate) Houston of Denison, IA, and their three daughters, Addison, Elly, and Macy; her significant other, Rodger Renken of Cherokee, IA; her siblings, Joleen (Tim) Mews of Calumet, IA, Jim (Deb) Schueder of Fort Dodge, IA, and Joe (Mandy) Schueder of Houston, TX; six nieces and nephews, Tonya Smith, Lauren Schueder, Emma Schueder, Ben Schmidt, and Bailey Schmidt; close friend, Char Shriver;  other relatives and friends.

SERVICES
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

VISITATION
Public Visitation with family present will be held Friday, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home.
