Harold Lewis Glover, Jr., the son of Harold and Mary Ann (Kirchner) Glover, Sr., was born August 12, 1971, in Cherokee, IA. His childhood years were spent in Cherokee. He attended Willow School and graduated from Washington High School in 1990.
Following his schooling, Harold remained in Cherokee, where he worked for several different businesses over the years, which include, Fareway, Godfather’s, Pizza Hut, Jessie’s Fine Meats, Wilson’s Foods, Kum and Go, and most recently he delivered papers for the Sioux City Journal until his health prevented him from working.
In his free time, Harold enjoyed camping, gambling, playing the lottery, and caring for animals, especially his dogs. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
On August 12, 2021, Harold passed away unexpectedly at the Buena Vista Regional Hospital at the age of 49. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Glover; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Marcella Glover; maternal grandparents, Harry and Ann Kirchner; one uncle, Raymond Glover; one aunt, Jean Heinen; and one great-aunt, Mildred Rupp.
He is survived by his father, Harold Glover, Sr. of Cherokee, IA; brother, Dana Glover of Cherokee, IA; uncle, Merle Kirchner of Cherokee, IA; special friend, Tammy Booher of Cherokee, IA; his good friend, Scott Jensen of Cherokee, IA; uncles, Randy (Shirley) Kirchner of Quimby, Tommy Kirchner of Cherokee, IA and Ed Heinen of Vinton; he is also survived by several cousins, other family, and friends.
