George Robert Frangenberg

George Robert Frangenberg (Witte), 81, died July 29, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada, following a brief illness. George was born May 31, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa and raised by Fred and Ann Witte. He attended school in Larrabee, Iowa. George moved to Norwalk, California and worked for the United States Post Office for many years. Following his retirement he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On February 22, 1961 George married Gloria Daily in Azusa, California. They lived in Las Vegas where George enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his good friend, Rich, and his two dogs, Josephine and Geraldine. Survivors include his wife; Gloria; daughters, Lucille Meadows, of Chico, California; Jerri Frangenberg, of Cherokee, Iowa; Rena Hopper, and her husband, James, of Belleville, Illinois; sons, Fred Frangenberg, of Cherokee, Iowa; Robert Frangenberg, of Morgan City, Louisianna; step-son, Michael Daily, of Dale, Texas; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-son, Rick Daily.
