Gale Diane (Ewoldt) Kruger was born to Leonard and Grace Ewoldt on September 21, 1942. Gale grew up on the farm and attended Hartley Schools. After graduation Gale was united in marriage to Lyle Kruger. They made their home in Cherokee, IA. Gale was an amazing seamstress. She worked for Hope’s Fashion Farm and did clothing alterations for local merchants and later worked out of her home. She passed on her homemaking skill to young girls as a 4-H leader and helped young cub scouts work on their merit badges.
Gale enjoyed camping, fishing, and car racing with Lyle and her five children.
On November 25, 2019, Gale passed away unexpectedly at her home in Cherokee. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle; parents, Leonard and Grace Ewoldt; and one brother Denise.
She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings: James Ewoldt, Connie Huffman, and Patti Rowray; her children: Sherri (Brad) Roberson, Stephanie (Kevin) Clabaugh, Doyle (Rebecca) Kruger, Dan Kruger, and Shelly (Michael) Langworthy; nine grandchildren: Melody Roberson, Chelsie (Ben) Damm, Christopher Clabaugh, Mason (Katlyn) Kruger, Mitchell Brunsting, Brooklyn Brunsting, Regan Brunsting, Noah Langworthy, and Carter Langworthy; three great-grandchildren: Alivia Ava, and Tayte. The family will mourn her passing and celebrate the rejoining with Lyle at God’s hand. Great-grandchildren Alivia, Ava, and Tayte will enjoy the many hand-made gifts Gale made them for years to come.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Trintiy Lutheran Church in Cherokee.
