Eleanor M. Paschal

March 15, 1933 — February 29, 2016

Eleanor Margurite Paschal, the daughter of Walter and Lilly Hoeppner was born March 15th, 1933 in Cherokee, Iowa. A long-time resident of Cherokee, Eleanor passed away Monday, the 29th of February at Cherokee Regional Medical Center. Eleanor was married to the love of her life, Thomas Boyd Paschal for over 60 years. Born and raised in Cherokee Iowa, Eleanor was well known by many, and loved by all. She was a phenomenal cook, best known for her heavenly Chicken and Noodles, world famous egg rolls, and divine tacos. Eleanor's hobbies included spending time with her family, Tuesday night bingo in Holstein, and collecting Angel figurines. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Thomas Boyd Paschal; daughters Gloria Bea Paschal of Cherokee, and Tammy Jones (Paschal) of Washington State, daughter-in-law Linda Kay Paschal of Illinois; two brothers, Doug Hoeppner of Storm Lake and Robert Hoeppner of Des Moines; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Dwight Paschal, a great-grandson, four sisters and three brothers. Eleanor had a beautiful smile that lit up any room, and will be incredibly missed. Her joyous laugh was one of the many wonderful characteristics of her endearing personality. Memorial gifts may be sent to the family at 434 Jeffries St, Cherokee, Iowa.
