Elaine Kathryn Kult

July 18, 1930 — April 17, 2021

 Elaine was born July 18, 1930 in Carroll, Iowa to Theodore and Loretta Happe, she graduated High School from St Angela’s Academy in Carroll, Iowa and attended Benedictine College in Kansas.  She married Bernard Kult on September 6th, 1950 and raised seven children thru the years. Mom worked part time as the kids got older at the local phone company and JC Penney in Denison.

Mom’s gift for art and creative talent was shared through her sewing and seasonal crafts with Family and Friends.  Mom supported Dad through the years with his work at MidAmerican, public office Mayor, Church, local events, and the Knights of Columbus.  Mom was active with the local Red Hats.  She lived at the Beck until recently and enjoyed helping decorate the halls for seasonal events and activities. Mom enjoyed her Card Clubs and games with Family and Friends.  Mom was an avid reader and enjoyed numerous authors.

 Survivors include her seven children, Kenneth Kult and wife Pat, Randall Kult and wife Susan, David Kult and wife Tena, Jane Timmerman and partner Ben Straily, Mary Corbett and husband Jay, Anne Coulter and husband Alan, Robert Kult, and wife Elaine.  Eighteen grand children and 32 great grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in in death by husband Bernard, daughters at birth Kathleen and Kathryn, 2 grandsons Jerome and Chris Wolterman, brother Richard and wife Patsy Happe, brother Eugene Happe sister in-law Alice Happe, Joseph Happe, Brother in-law William Kult and Gary Kult, and in-laws Bill and  Gladys Kult.

SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Face masks will be required at the church.
OFFICIATING

VISITATION
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. The family will process from the funeral home to the church at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
