Doreen K. Smith, the daughter of Donald and Doris Eades, was born on June 19, 1955 in Bloomington, IL. She attended Washington High School in Cherokee, IA and graduated in the class of 1973. She was united in marriage to Dale Tuttle on November 25, 1975. After Dale’s passing, Doreen attended Iowa Central College in Storm Lake, IA to become a registered nurse. She worked for Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital (Cherokee Regional Medical Center) in Cherokee, IA. Following Dale’s passing, Doreen was married to Timothy Smith on July 23, 1994.
Doreen enjoyed going to casinos, geocacheing, watching sports, being on the farm, animals, traveling, and enjoying nature. One of her joys in life was being able to take care of people as a nurse. Most of all, she loved all of the adventures and cheering on the Steelers with her daughter Kari and spending time with her family and friends.
Doreen is preceded in death by her parents and both of her husbands, Dale Tuttle and Timothy Smith.
Doreen is survived by her daughter, Kari Smith of Sioux City, IA, stepchildren, Christine (Joshua) Thompson of Sioux Rapids, IA, Julie (Bryan) Kell of Aurelia, IA, Dan (Kat) Tuttle of Quimby, IA, Bruce (Lillian) Tuttle of Apache Junction, AZ, Bill (Pat) Tuttle of Chandler, AZ and Dee Anna Tuttle of Fergus Falls, MN; siblings, Dan (Sheryl) Eades of Airway Heights, WA, Duane (Louise) Eades of Longview, WA, Darrel (Darlene) Eades of Salem, OH, Dale (Kenni) Eades of Airway Heights, WA, Doug (Susie) Eades of Washta, IA, Dennis (Lisa) Eades of Holdrege, NE; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extra kids that called her mom.
