Donna Mae Pigott

Donna was born June 19, 1937, to Edwin E. (Nubs) Beck and Marie D. Sump. She was raised a rancher’s daughter and was the third of four children.

Donna married James Pigott on April 4th, 1959, in Cherokee, Iowa. They started their life together farming, but eventually moved to Marshalltown, Iowa where Jim began his career as a pilot and Donna as a proud registered nurse. Jim’s job transfer eventually brought them to Plano, which Donna embraced and loved immediately. Donna remained a nurse until her retirement.

Donna was indisputably the life of the party. She had a unique sense of humor and numerous stories to tell. She enjoyed entertaining and her door was always open, literally. No one needed to knock, and the door was always unlocked. Everyone was welcome.

Preceding Donna in death was her beloved husband Jim, son Michael Pigott, father Edwin Beck, mother Marie Beck, siblings Betty Stewart and Eddie Beck, Jr. and nephew Tom Stewart.

Donna is survived by her sister, Bonnie Beck; daughter, Mona Rigdon; Niece Elizabeth Prescher; Nephew Lance Robinson and his wife Angie; 8 grandkids and 16 great grandkids.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 3:00pm at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano. Online condolences can be left on the Dignity Memorial website.
