Della Ida (Wilberding) Brodersen, the daughter of Joseph and Celia (Meyer) Wilberding, was born January 17, 1918 at Remsen, IA. She spent her early years in Remsen, and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1935. She then moved to Cherokee, IA, and began working as a waitress.
Della enjoyed playing BINGO, crossword puzzles, slot machines, playing cards, and telling stories and jokes. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the I.C. Ladies Union. She passed away at Countryside Estates in Cherokee, IA, on March 28, 2013, having reached the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, four sisters, two sons-in-law, Glen Haselhoff and Dan Smith.
She is survived by four children, Bob and Georgia Brodersen of Paullina, Betty Haselhoff of Cherokee, IA, Kathy Smith of Quimby, IA, and Ben Brodersen of Cherokee, IA; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Mandy Brodersen and children Izzy and Alex, Jeff and Susan Haselhoff, Jason and Tonya Haselhoff and children T.J., Dylan, Kenzie and Chris, Leia and Jim Krueger, Katie Haselhoff and her boyfriend Bud Fredricks, and Jamie Smith; a brother-in-law Jim Brodersen and his wife Fran, sister-in-law Delores McDermott and brother-in-law Raymond Brodersen; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1st at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. The family will be present from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
