Darrell L. Underwood

January 19, 1947 — November 2, 2018

Darrell Lee Underwood, the son of Clifford and Minnie (Berg) Underwood, was born January 19, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Sioux City, where he attended school. Darrell was a Naval Sea Bee during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he worked as an over the road trucker until his retirement in 2001.

Darrell was an avid Chargers and Saints fan. He enjoyed NASCAR and pulled for Kyle Busch. He collected wooden pens, pen boxes, and antique glassware. He was a Ford truck fan and enjoyed watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Darrell also enjoyed riding around town on his side by side especially during floods. Most of all, he loved his daughter, grandson, and cats very much.

He will lovingly be remembered by his daughter, Pamela (Craig) Napier; grandson, Kenneth Floyd Stellish; sister, Jean Barclay; step grandson, Adam (Damaria) Napier; step-granddaughters, Summer and her significant other, Jon Palmer, and Brandy (Torey) Zimmerman; and many nieces, nephews, other step-family, cousins, and friends.
