Conrad Willis Lundsgaard

Conrad Willis Lundsgaard, the son of Emil and Mabel (Krogh) Lundsgaard, was born and lived in Ruskin, NE until his family moved to Quimby, IA, and then south of Cherokee, IA where he attended Wilson High School. He briefly attended college until he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and was stationed at Darmstadt, Germany.

On May 27, 1956, Conrad was united in marriage to Marlene Simonson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rolfe, IA. He farmed, fed cattle and raised three sons while farming with his father and brothers south of Aurelia. He retired in 2004. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee.

On Sunday, May 20, 2018, Conrad passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Mabel Lundsgaard; and brothers, Warren, Dennis, and Joe Lundsgaard.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Lundsgaard of Cherokee, IA; sons, Niels Lundsgaard of Milwaukee, WI, Andrew Lundsgaard of Chanhassen, MN, and Soren Lundsgaard of Iverness, IL; one brother, Douglas Lundsgaard of Eugene, OR; grandchildren, Margaret, Kaj, Katherine, Elise, Zane, Emily, Carolyn, and Jens.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Iowa State University Emil and Mabel Lundsgaard Memorial Scholorship or Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
