Cassie Renae Wiseman

Cassandra Renea (Woltman) Wiseman, the daughter of Herman and Wanda (Resene) Woltman was born at 7:11 a.m. on February 25, 1990 in Sioux City, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Aurelia, IA where she attended school and graduated in 2008. After high school, Cassie worked at Fareway. She attended Iowa Central where she achieved her AA in May of 2011. She then earned a BA from Buena Vista University in May of 2013. Cassie was currently working towards her Master’s Degree at Walden University.

Cassie worked for Jackson Recovery Center (Synergy) in Cherokee, first as a recovery counselor and then as a recovery therapist. She most recently worked as a case manager for Amerigroup. Cassie met Nick Wiseman while in high school and started dating when she was a senior. They were united in marriage on August 27, 2011.

Cassie was a very caring person and had a huge heart. She would do anything for anyone. She loved helping people in any way she could. She could light up a room with her smile. She loved Christmas and spending time with family at all the holidays. She liked to do yard work outside and decorate inside of her home. She loved playing with Elijah and was the best mom any child could ask for. She loved to brag about all of the wonderful things in her life especially when it came to Nick and Elijah. She was so excited for the arrival of their second child. Cassie also enjoyed drawing and was very talented. Cassie’s favorite things were owls, The Lion King, Jurassic Park, The Voice, butterflies, playing video games, watching scary movies, and taking care of her animals at home. Most of all, Cassie enjoyed being a wife and mother.

On November 6, 2019, Cassie passed away unexpectedly at BV Memorial Hospital at the age of 29. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wanda and Herman Woltman;  grandparents, Lorilla and Merlin Resene; and uncle Mike Resene.

She will lovingly be remembered by her husband and two sons, Nick, Elijah and Korbin Wiseman of Cherokee, IA; sister Dena Woltman (Roger Davis) of Cherokee, IA; two brothers, Brent (Patricia) Woltman of Aurelia, IA and Shawn Resene of Columbus, OH; two half-sisters, Tammy Guite (Greg) and Denise King (Ray) of Wisconsin; nieces, Elizabeth Woltman (Nick Hartley) of Mallard and Samantha Paltz (Jake Ortwine) of Storm Lake, IA; great nieces, Camille and Shelby Hartley of Mallard, IA; nephews, Brodie, Cash, and Archer Woltman of Aurelia; aunt, Janny Calvert of North Liberty, IA; mother-in-law, Kelle Wisman of Cherokee, IA; father-in-law, Dennis (Peggy) Faist of Aurelia, IA; brothers-in-law, Christopher (Molly) Wiseman, Clint (Nikki) Faist, Curt (Krissy) Faist, and Cory (Liz) Faist; grandmother-in-law, Sandy Millikan; and other cousins; relatives; extended family; and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, Iowa.
