Brett H. Phipps

 Brett Henry Phipps passed away October 18, 2018 at his home. He was born November 12th, 1983 at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, SD to Robert Phipps and Brenda Beck. He grew up in Cherokee, IA and attended school in Aurelia and Hartley, IA. He graduated from Hartley in 2002. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College and played baseball for one semester. He worked various jobs and later received his apprenticeship for electrician from Ashworth College. He was currently working at C-S Agrow out of Calumet, IA. Brett loved the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago White Sox, poker, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.

 
 He will be forever remembered by his wife, Amy and their children Kade and Paisley; his parents, Robert (Kristi) Phipps of Aurelia, IA and Brenda Beck of Aurora, CO; his brothers, Billy Hotz of Cherokee, IA, and Adam Phipps of Aurelia, IA; sisters, Sara (AJ) Shupe of Ida Grove, IA and Alyssa (Taylor) Triebwasser of Cherokee, IA; his grandparents, Hank Phipps of Primghar, IA and Bev and Roger Beck of Larrabee, IA; many nieces and nephews and extended family and dear friends.

 He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Albert and Blanche “Honey” Bredman, John and Faye Beck, Uncle Ron Rassel and Aunt Teresa Norland; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Phipps, great-grandparents, Frank and Helen Dryer of Cherokee IA; as well as friends Josh McGowen, and Wesley Grohe.
