Beverly K. (Reinert) Wood

On January 9, 2012, Beverly passed away at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Beverly K. (Reinert) Wood, the daughter of Clayton L. and Sophie (Carlson) Reinert was born April 21, 1948, in Cherokee, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Cherokee where she attended school. She attended Washington High School in Cherokee. Following her schooling, Beverly worked in Cherokee. In 1968, she was united in marriage to Roger Sargent. After their marriage they lived in Texas and Missouri before settling in the Cherokee area. Beverly married Roger Jackson in 1984. She worked in Cherokee where she was supervisor in the kitchen at Careage Hill Nursing Home. She later worked at Cherokee Regional Medical Center as a Dietician Aid. She most recently worked at the New Leaf in Cherokee. Following the death of her husband Roger, Beverly was united in marriage to Richard Wood in May of 2010 in Cherokee. Beverly enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crafting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Jackson; one sister, Barb; two brothers, Eugene and Richard; and her parents, Clayton L. and Sophie Reinert; and one great-grandchild, Micah. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wood of Cherokee, IA; children: Timothy (Tammy) Reinert of Paullina, IA, and Tina (Kelly) Ebel of Cherokee, IA; step-children: Heather (Andy) Wimpe of Breda, IA, Ken Jackson of Montana, Edith, June, Anne, Cheryl, and Melinda "Mindy;" siblings: Mike and Connie Reinert of Ruthven, IA, and Becky Pratt of Cherokee, IA; one aunt, Jane Miller of Cherokee, IA; grandchildren: Timothy Jr., Casey, Cody, Sammi, Ashley, Nicole, Abby, and Nathan; two great-grandchildren; Brooklynn and Jacob; as well as other family and friends.
