Arthur Meyers

 Arthur Meyers, the son of William and Florence (Heller) Meyers was born Decmeber 6, 1938, at Fonda, IA. His childhood years were spent near Fonda and Varina where he attended school. Arthur was united in marriage to Trudie Putnam. He was later united in marriage to Mary Lohberger on March 4, 1978, at the Little Brown Church.

 Art worked for area farmers near the Fonda area for around 10 years. He then worked for Tyson Foods in Cherokee as a meat cutter for over 41 years. He retired in March of 2006. Art enjoyed collecting antique toy tractors. He also liked antique trucks and going to automobile shows. Most recently, Art had become a huge fan of baseball. Most of all, Art enjoyed spending time with his family.

 On Friday, June 14, 2019, Art passed away at the Cherokee Specialty Care in Cherokee at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Joe Lohberger; brother-in-law, Ken Lohberger; brothers and sisters, Maye and George Molton, Donald Meyers, Janette and Clifford Robins, Carl and Adeline Meyers, Bernice and DeLano Shoffer, Glenn Meyers, Edna and Roland Peterson, Dennis and Mona Meyers, Maude and Robert Tegels, Dallas Meyers, and Duane and Judy Hall Meyers.

 He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Meyers of Cherokee, IA; children and grandchildren: Tim and Cheryl Meyers of Raytown, MO and their children, Amanda and Jake Henning of Kansas City, MO, Nick Meyers of Kansas City, MO and Kensie Meyers of Kansas City, MO; Tami and Jeff Ebel of Storm Lake and their son Mitchell Ebel of Storm Lake; Terry and Peggy Meyers of Alta, IA and their children, Katie and Bryan Schrieber of Emmetsburg, IA and their children, Crosby and Maddie; Kily and Collin Johnson of Aurelia, IA and their children, Chip, Penny, and Rev; Kelsi Meyers of Newell, IA and her child Karsyn; Ty and Annie Meyers of Des Moines, IA and their children, Emilee Meyers of Des Moines, IA; stepchildren, Lyndi and Mike Heinkel of Des Moines, IA and children, Dillon and Taylor and Adam Halder; Luke and Shannon Meyers of Las Vegas, NV and their children, Aubrey and Ellie; and Leland Meyers of Cherokee, IA; brothers, Lyle and Derae Meyers of Indianola, IA; and his twin brother, Aaron Myers of Indianola, IA; he is also survived by several nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
