Annabelle (Regennitter) Paulsen was born on a farm near Washta, IA, on January 9, 1939, to Albert Regennitter and Mae (Coon-Hollingshead) Regennitter. She spent her youth in rural Washta, Anthon, and Correctionville, IA. She attended Washta Consolidated School until the 11th grade. She enjoyed making many memories with all of her 18 siblings.
She was united in marriage to LeRoy Paulsen at 7:30 pm on February 18, 1958, in a double-ring candlelight ceremony at the Washta Methodist Church. She worked at a turkey plant in Storm Lake, Randall's Bakery and Speelman's Steak House in Cherokee.
Annabelle enjoyed many things in life. She loved to crochet, and made many wonderful afghans and other items for people. She was always up for a good game of BINGO, Buck Euchre or UNO. She had a love of gardening, country music, playing games on her computer, and thoroughly enjoyed having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren visit as often as they could.
Annabelle was reunited with her beloved LeRoy, when she passed away at her home in Washta
on December 6, 2014, at the age of 75, and was reunited with her beloved LeRoy. She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy,; her parents Albert and Mae Regennitter; brothers Kenneth, Jim and Donald Regennitter, and Kenneth, Clayton, Fred and Harold Hollingshead; sisters Una Ralston and Ruby Hollingshead; one grandson, Kyle Hyndman.
Annabelle will be lovingly remembered by her children: Lyle (Deb) Paulsen of Washta, IA, Deb Hyndman of Sioux Falls, SD, Laura Woolliscroft of Bagley, MN, and Denita Price of Washta, IA; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law Kenneth (Janice) Paulsen of Sioux City, IA; siblings, Glen (Rosine) Regennitter of Clarence, IA, Albert Regennitter-Green Valley, CA, Morey (Opal) Regennitter of Cleghorn, IA, Beverly Green-Apache Jct, Az, Mary Lou Kuhrts-Apache Jct, AZ, Vern (Karen) Regennitter of Ogalalla, NE, Dorie Regennitter of Washta, IA, Beth (Bob) Nelson-Tabor, IA, Dean (Vicki) Regennitter of Aurelia, IA, many nieces and nephews. God-Daughter, Melissa Meyer and son Dominic Meyer and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee.
