Ann M. Wheeler

Ann M. Wheeler, the daughter of Larry and Linda (Stowater) Wheeler, was born July 30, 1961, in Cherokee, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Cherokee where she received her education. She graduated from Washington High School in 1981. Following high school, Ann went to work for Cherokee Work Services and was a loyal employee for over 30 years . She enjoyed the companionship and friends she made while working there. Ann enjoyed traveling, whether it be a trip around the block or across the country. She also enjoyed her many pets throughout the years, especially her dogs Snoopy and Nigel. She could be found almost every week enjoying a movie with her best friend Gloria. Ann had a love for people and never met a stranger. She was also a diehard sports fan always rooting for her Cherokee Braves, Chicago Cubs, and Iowa Hawkeyes. Her gentle demeanor and personality will be missed by many. On August 7, 2012, Ann passed away at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center at the age of 51. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Wheeler; paternal grandparents, Carl and Lucille Wheeler; maternal grandparents, Ella and J.C. Stowater; her aunt, Shirley Stowater; and special aunt, Sherry Wheeler. She is survived by her mother, Linda Wheeler of Cherokee, IA; one sister, Kris (Mike) Maves of Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephew: Sara, Kate, and Matt Maves of Phoenix, AZ, aunts and uncles: Bill and Roberta Hueser of George, IA, Charlie and Delores Wheeler of Cherokee, IA, Rodney and Sandy Stowater of Cherokee, IA, and Darrell Stowater of Marcus, IA; She is also survived by her best friend, Gloria Paschal of Cherokee, IA; as well as several cousins and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee.

Visitation will be on Friday, from 5:00-6:30 P.M. with the family present during that time at Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee.
