Alan Wayne Cave

Alan Wayne Cave, age 65 of Peabody, MA, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at LaHey Clinic Hospital in Burlington, MA. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee, IA. Alan Wayne Cave was born June 19, 1958, in Muscatine, IA. Shortly after birth, he was adopted by Wayne and Marlene Cave. His childhood years were spent in Cherokee, IA, where he graduated from Washington High School. Following graduation, Alan lived in several cities on the East Coast, primarily in Massachusetts. He lived in Danvers, MA, and later moved to Peabody, MA, where he worked various jobs and eventually became sales manager at an automobile dealership.

 Alan was united in marriage to Will Shields on October 15, 2020 in Massachusetts. In his free time, Alan enjoyed art, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.

Alan passed away on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024, in Peabody, Ma, at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Cave; and grandparents, Henry and Erma Schoeneman and Purl and Beniece Cave.

 He will be remembered by his husband, Will Shields of Peabody, MA; father, Wayne Cave of Cherokee, IA; cousins, Paula Burch, Peggy Rebhuhn, Loren (Cave) Cove, and Eugene Schoeneman; as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; other relatives and friends.
