Adeline Lucille Uhl, the daughter of Joseph and Emmah (Davis) Stanislov was born on March 27, 1923, in Castana, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Castana where she attended school and graduated from Castana High School.
Following her schooling, Adeline was united in marriage to Warren Uhl in Blencoe, Iowa in 1946. The couple farmed in the Onawa, Castana, and Blencoe area for many years. Adeline was a homemaker who helped with farming and raising their children.
After many years they moved to Cherokee where she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Adeline enjoyed needlework, cooking, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her family.
On February 27, 2011, Adeline passed away at Careage Hills in Cherokee, Iowa at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Uhl; parents, Joseph and Emmah Stanislov; one brother, Ernest Stanislav; and one sister, Rosemary Aaronson.
She is survived by two sons: Jim (Liz) Uhl of Knoxville, IA, and Dan Uhl of Denver, CO; one sister, Helen Framke of Onawa, IA; one brother, Larry (Nancy) Stanislav of Spencer, IA; two grandchildren, Charlie Uhl of Knoxville, IA and Jessica Uhl of Broomfield, CO; and several nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Gymnasium.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. Thursday with the family present from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday night at Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
