“Our deepest sympathies at your loss. Your mother was a beautiful woman both inside and out and she will be greatly missed. She always had a smile on her face when she walked into a room and you couldn’t help but smile back. Wilma was so dedicated to children, she was an inspiration to be around. I never heard her say a bad word about or to, anyone. She was patient and kind to all the students at the YES Center, without execption. Although we are suffering a loss, Heaven definitely has another angel. ”

“Caring thoughts to Wilma's family. The video tribute brought back many memories from years past. Wilma was a favorite cousin of my mothers, Leona Niemeier Matthew. I remember the Rusch Reunions growing up at the Alta Park so close to Aunt Louise's house. I personally reconnected with Wilma in the 1990's when I worked at the Cherokee Hospital as the Vice President of Nursing and Wilma was so well known and respected in the Cherokee nursing community and the Cherokee community as a whole. Deepest sympathy to you all.”

You have my sincere sympathy and prayers in the loss of Wilma. I have such fond memories of Wilma, as our school nurse when I was a child, and from my visits to the Starkey home to visit my friend, Karen. First living on South ninth and being in the neighborhood and then later friends with both of you she was just always there. And seeing her at school was just a bonus !
